As the basis of a powerful marketing drive, KFC purchased two-year's
of prime viewing slots across ComutaNet's potent television
medium, Rank TV. Repeated daily screenings surround millions
of commuters with commercials for KFC's delicious and affordable
chicken.
Rank TV is exclusive to ComutaNet clients and is the medium
of choice to substantially increase a brand's awareness in the
commuter market - a market with vast and burgeoning buying power.
The ComutaNet team, headed by Brian Lindquist, Marketing &
Sales Director, offered KFC, a valued and long-standing client,
the campaign, citing Rank TV's strategic positions in ten of
South Africa's most frequented taxi ranks, as the best advertising
platform to deliver the commuter exposure KFC sought.

Every weekday, during maximum pedestrian traffic, KFC's message
will be visible for ten minutes to 1.2 million people, reducing
on Saturdays to five-minute durations until August 2006. KFC
extended its drive by branding the interiors of 1 000 taxis
with colourful graphics and inserting an audio ad on 11 500
copies of Gospel Star Music cassettes played in taxis and in
popular demand.
"We are confident KFC will experience increased sales
volumes and anticipate the combination of Rank TV supplemented
by interior taxi branding and the great ads on Gospel Star Music
will saturate the target market in high-density urban areas,"
says Brian Lindquist, Marketing & Sales Director for ComutaNet.
