Primedia Outdoor Announces Winners of Johannesburg City Parks Competition

Recognising responsible corporate citizens encourage the enhancement of the environment and assist in the maintenance of the community in which it operates Primedia Outdoor, wholly South African owned outdoor advertising media owner, entered into a sponsorship agreement with the Johannesburg City Parks (JCP) who initiated My Dream Park, a competition, for primary school learners to design their dream park on an AO poster. The victorious school stood in line to win a fully developed dream park within the first school term of 2005. All schools within the boundaries of the City of Johannesburg were eligible to enter from grades 5 to 7.

Primedia Outdoor proudly announces that the winner of the 2005 Johannesburg City Park Project was St. Ives Primary School in Klipspruit. The judging took place at Johannesburg City Park’s offices. A group of auditors and a leading panel of judges including Yusuf Cajee from Primedia Outdoor adjudicated the process along side a selection of members of Government representing the Environment sector as well as officials from Johannesburg City Park project and Keith Kirsten of Keith Kirsten Nurseries.

 

The winning entry was designed by students of St. Ives Primary School in Klipspruit l who received the Primedia Outdoor sponsored floating trophy designed to honour learners from the overall winning school and the individual trophies for the wining group comprising of 5 pupils per group. In addition Primedia Outdoor awarded individual gift vouchers, from a local shopping centre, to each participating student of the winning entry.
