Recently acquired by Primedia's new venture, Primedia Unlimited,
Forecourt Television Network (FTN) has revamped its identity,
changing its name to Forecourt Media. In addition, David Shmuckler,
well known in advertising circles for launching Hot Box Media
both locally and internationally, has been appointed to head
up Forecourt Media.
Says Ken Varejes, CEO, Primedia Unlimited: "Currently
the company operates digitally enabled high quality LED TV screens
at 40 major service stations countrywide. We have plans to grow
this number substantially and will soon be introducing a range
of other media options to effectively reach motorists and pedestrians
at service stations. Forecourt Media is already the leader in
this field, but considering the vast potential of this lucrative
market, we are confident that advertisers will welcome an all
encompassing and fully integrated media package that deliver
welcomed brand experiences through visual, audio and interactive
communications".

Shmuckler, who has retained his financial interests in Hot
Box Media internationally, was lured by the challenge of taking
Forecourt Media to an entirely new level. "There is enormous
potential in this media sector and it's exciting for me to be
working in such a dynamic environment where innovative thinking
is not just encouraged, it's expected."
