As another year draws to a close I would like to take this opportunity to extend my thanks to all our clients who have facilitated another year of incredible growth.

The 2005 calendar year has been a repeat of the buoyant economic conditions experienced in 2004.

Consumer confidence, as read by BER, reached an all time high.

This key factor continues to be fuelled by low interest rates, improved disposable income, lower personal taxes and the development of a significant Black middle class.

The media environment has become even more cluttered and fragmented.

The need to reach audiences, with minimal wastage and a verified return on investment, has never been so keen.

We consequently have experienced a trend which mirrors that of the USA, of a significant switch of ATL investment to instore media support.

 

Based on this trend and our commitment to innovation, Primedia Instore has developed new instore services that have been acknowledged by News America Marketing ( the leading instore media company in the USA) as world “firsts”.

Shelf Illuminator launches in February 2006 and Light Box in July 2006. (The first battery powered, flashing, illuminated instore media in the world).

Christmas 2005 is likely to be the best that manufacturers are likely to experience for the past decade.
